“Necessity is the mother of all Inventions.”
Many years ago, I met a good-hearted and enterprising lady in Bali.
She was very kind and willing to help us through our journey by being an excellent tour guide.
She became our translator, too, as we met with some of the head priests from the temple. Helped us with our traditional outfits and offerings to be made at all the temples.
As we journeyed together, experiencing Bali through our eyes, she learnt and unravelled Bali in the knowledge of light and what we experienced.
Her life’s goal was to make her two sons get an ‘English Education,’ and be able to provide three square meals a day for which she toiled morning till night.
She was the provider for her family, while her husband would look after their children at home. Her dream was to become an entrepreneur.
During my periodic visits to Bali, we enabled her with the Right Knowledge by giving her deeper insights about the place, which she could share with the tourists.
We provided her with the Right tools – a computer, enabled her on social media, set up her website, and showed her the Right direction.
Since then, she has empowered herself and started building her social profile. In addition, she has shown tremendous improvement in her English speaking and writing skills.
She keeps in touch with us and communicates regularly—this is a true and inspiring story of a woman who, through her self-effort, achieved socio-economic empowerment.
“There is no force more powerful than a woman determined to Rise.”
